Building Empowered Communities Through Art

Tumbleweed strives to promote social change through empowerment and relationship building. Community art making events take place at various times and locations in and around Calgary. Most community empowerment gatherings are free of charge or by a small donation.

These free gatherings provide space for self-care and community building through expressive arts for parents and caregivers of children living with exceptional needs. This is not a parenting class or therapy, simply a non-judgemental place for people who may share some similar life experiences to breathe, connect, share, create and reflect on our needs and expectations as caregivers and as individuals.
