Tumbleweed's Mission

Tumbleweed's mission is to empower individuals and communities to create positive change in themselves and the world by exploring play-based experiences with expressive arts.

We strive to provide accessible, creative learning environments that spark curiosity, imagination, risk taking, understanding, creative thinking, problem solving and growth within people of all ages, abilities and identities as they are supported in their own unique ways of learning and being. Individual strengths and interests are emphasized and the relationships between humans and our planet are recognized.

We aim to create a culture based on relationships and trust, in ourselves and each other. Differences are valued, people are celebrated for who they are as whole people with a wide range of emotions, ideas, strengths, challenges, lived experiences and ways of being in the world. All emotions are validated. Mistakes are acknowledged with empathy, and harm is repaired. Risk taking, vulnerability and authenticity are encouraged through clear boundaries that keep our environment safe for everyone.
